Christ Centered Trust
This week has been absolutely crazy. Life continues to throw curve balls and I’m trying to make the necessary adjustments. Don’t get me wrong there are a lot of good things moving forward and some great things the Lord is doing but life isn’t always full of rainbows and gumdrops.
I was thinking this morning about “Christ centered” trust. I also thought of calling it “Cross centered” trust but I’ll stick with Christ for now.
Life’s not always clear. The right decision to make isn’t always staring you in the face. So how do you trust God even when it seems the road in front of you is slightly murky?
Well it all comes down to what about God you’re placing your trust in. Now don’t take this too far because everything the Lord does is perfect and worthy of your praise and trust. But there will be times that you begin to doubt the path you’re on and that’s when Christ must become the center of your trust.
The truth is that we don’t always know exactly what to say or do. We pray and seek the Lord to show us the way. But there are times He puts us in holding patterns of waiting on Him. It’s in times like this we often become impatient or confused.
It’s very easy to begin to place your trust in the things God is giving you. It could be your job, your friendships, or your family. But these things are never guaranteed in your life.
The Lord deserves 110% of your trust based solely on the fact that He has saved you from yourself by the power of the blood of His Son Jesus Christ. You might have other issues that seem very daunting at the moment but in the end, when you’re really not sure about where you are or what to do, clear your mind, pray, and ask the Lord to remind you of your first love. Jesus Christ.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. - Proverbs 3:5-6
